After further investigation into the home I noticed a repair to a soffit return that was not secured properly and it offered about a 3/4 inch gap. I lifted the piece of flashing and this guy was waiting for his photo opportunity.

Unsecured Repair Flashing and Brown Bat hiding underneath

After realizing that the Brown Bats were hiding under any unsecured metals I saw that the End Wall Flashing on the metal roof was not properly attached to the fascia. I lifted the flashing and their was a whole group of Brown Bats awaiting darkness to slide out and begin hunting and feeding.

This is a classic entry for Brown Bats. This area is protected from the elements by the soffit and the brick offers great grip for the bats to land on and crawl into the cavity to nest and sleep.
